AX1 Films is thrilled to announce that Sundance Screenwriting Award winner BLIND will receive its UK premiere at the 2014 BFI London Film Festival on October 10th.

AX1 Films will handle all UK and Irish rights to this remarkable directorial debut by Eskil Vogt.

Vogt’s’ co-writing screen credits include Joachim Trier’s ‘Reprise’ and ‘Oslo, August 31st’, both of which have been highly praised, winning multiple awards.

Captivating audiences at festival screenings, BLIND premiered at Sundance in the World Dramatic section this year, it went onto pick-up the World Cinema Screenwriting award. It has since won numerous other awards including the Europa Cinemas Label for Best European film at Berlin, the New Talent Grand Pix at CPH PIX in Copenhagen, and the Golden Tulip at Istanbul.

BLIND will open in cinemas in the UK and Ireland early next year.

About the film:

After losing her sight, Ingrid (Ellen Dorrit Petersen) rarely leaves her apartment. She can still remember how the world around her looks, but the images that were once so clear are slowly replaced by darker visions. Ingrid suspects her husband Morten (Henrik Rafaelsen) doesn’t always leave for work when he says he does. Is Morten there in the apartment with her? Sneaking around, silently observing her? Or when he claims to be writing e-mails to colleagues, is he actually chatting with his lover online?

Featuring a stand-out performance by Ellen Dorrit Petersen (Troubled Water), BLIND is a witty and unpredictable drama about how our innermost fantasies and desires affect how we perceive the world around us.
